Your help needed! Send your favourite pic!
This site has now been online a couple of days and I´m beginning to reason that, in contrary to my first intentions, it might be nice to have a picture gallery. But it shouldn´t be a gallery with dozens of pics gathered from all over the place, just to fill the space.
It shall be a gallery only with the absolute
cream of the crop
It shall be a gallery with your top favourites!
The most recent photo contribution will also be published on the Intro Page and remain there, until a new contribution arrives!
(If two contributions arrive right after another before the first can be online, of course both of them will be added, but only the most recent one will be published on the Intro Page. In this case it’s bad luck for the one before. Don’t be frustrated in this case, it’s just a game. And your photo will be in the gallery in every case!)

In your email, tell us the following details:
- Name or nickname
- Where you come from
- URL of your homepage, if you have one and want to see it published.
- Do you want your email address published on the site? yes/no
(if you don’t explicitely vote “yes”, it will count as “no”.)
- A short (!) explanation WHY it is your favourite photo.
- A quote where you have taken the photo from. (URL)*
(Scanned images are fine as well, as long as they´re not bigger than 2 MB)
*Copyright issues are quite a problem and it probably is a problem which can’t be solved. It is most reasonable that the sites you take the photo from don’t hold the original copyright themselves. I guess all fan sites live with this and if there´s anybody who has evidence to claim a copyright violation, just contact me and I will remove the picture. In all other cases we herewith assume implicit agreement of the copyright owner.
If you know how to do it, it would be nice to resize the picture so it won´t be bigger than app. 50 to max. 150 kB. Not all people have broadband internet access and would like to see something before they die. If you don´t know how to do it, I can do it for you but please don´t send any originals bigger than 2 MB, this is the threshold limit of my email account.
On the other hand, don´t choose any thumbnails that are so small that nobody will see the result without a microscope. Whereas it is very easy to downsize an image it won’t be possible to blow up a 5 kB amoeba with a satisfactory quality.
Please be patient. It might take a couple of days until the photo is online. I just don’t have the time to maintain the site on a daily schedule, it might even take a week or two if I’m out of office from time to time. I promise it won’t get lost!
